The Partners for Sustainable Development organization is a leading Jordanian institution focused on enhancing development in southern Jordan, with a particular emphasis on empowering women and youth in marginalized rural areas. Through the implementation of innovative projects in collaboration with international organizations, the organization aims to build a sustainable community that promotes educational and employment opportunities. Its vision revolves around achieving social and economic progress that enhances human rights and equality. The organization contributes to fostering interaction between youth and local authorities, focusing on addressing environmental challenges by training young leaders to understand climate change and actively participate in decision-making.
The vision of the Partners for Sustainable Development
The vision of the Partners for Sustainable Development organization revolves around building strong and sustainable communities in southern Jordan. The organization seeks to stimulate economic and social development and enhance the role of women and youth in marginalized rural areas. It believes that sustainable development is the key to progress and works to provide educational and economic opportunities while focusing on human rights and equality. Through collaboration with international organizations, the organization aims to achieve a lasting positive impact and build effective partnerships to realize comprehensive and sustainable development in the region.
Partners for Sustainable Development proudly joined national efforts to monitor elections in Jordan, in cooperation with the Community Empowerment Center and Max van der Stoel Foundation. This participation reflects the organization’s vision to empower youth, promote transparency, and strengthen democratic engagement for a more aware and responsible future for Jordan
As part of its mission to promote national awareness and the values of peace, the Partners for Sustainable Development Foundation, in cooperation with the Al-Jafr Youth Center, organized an awareness session titled “Jordan’s National Role in Peacebuilding and Its Regional Contribution to Stability.”
The event emphasized Jordan’s pioneering role as a bridge for dialogue and a model of tolerance, coexistence, and peace. Participants shared ideas on how youth can sustain this honorable national path, ensuring Jordan remains a beacon of security and stability in a turbulent region.

This summer, the Partners for Sustainable Development Foundation took part in the International Summer School in Herrsching – Germany, a global program that brought together young people from around the world to promote dialogue and cultural exchange.
The participation reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to empowering youth and building international cooperation toward a more sustainable future.
Partners for Sustainable Development proudly participated in the Local Climate Change Conference 2025, showcasing its commitment to empowering southern Jordan’s communities. Through youth-led initiatives and local success stories, the organization highlighted innovative, sustainable solutions addressing climate challenges and promoting inclusive, community-driven environmental action across the region. 🌍♻️
Today, Al-Jafr District welcomed the visit of Minister of Youth Raed Al-Adwan, who met with the team from the Partners for Sustainable Development Foundation and listened to the main challenges facing local youth.
His Excellency showed great interest in their concerns, attentively heard their needs, and directed immediate solutions to several issues. The visit left a positive impact among Al-Jafr’s youth, strengthening their confidence that their voices are heard and that there is a genuine commitment to building a better future.
The Partners for Sustainable Development Foundation participated in the Social Hackathon Umbria 2025, held in Foligno, Italy, from 2 to 7 July 2025, contributing to the development of digital projects with a social impact that promote innovation and sustainable development.
🇯🇴 Partners for Sustainable Development Foundation participated in the Youth Policy Lab on Green and Circular Economy at the Dead Sea, contributing to discussions on water, food, energy, and waste policies, emphasizing youth engagement in shaping a greener and more sustainable future for Jordan.
Yesterday, we participated in the National Meeting held at the Sheraton Hotel – Amman, as part of the Jordanian National Action Plan II (2022–2025) to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security.
This participation marked an important step in strengthening national and international partnerships, fostering knowledge exchange, and supporting women’s vital role in peacebuilding, security, and sustainable development.
We take pride in being part of this collective national effort that reflects Jordan’s commitment to empowering women and enhancing their participation in the path toward peace and progress.
Partners for Sustainable Development Foundation was honored to represent one of its youth members within the FAO Youth Team during the Arab Forum for Sustainable Development 2025 in Beirut, highlighting the vital role of youth in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and shaping a more sustainable future.
Partners for Sustainable Development Foundation participates in the “Women on the Green Track” workshop in Jordan, discussing women’s empowerment in the green and circular economy, highlighting women’s leadership as a driving force for sustainable change and Jordan’s progress in this vital sector.
Partners for Sustainable Development Foundation participated in the MUV – Mediterranean Unbound Voices program in Altamura and Matera, Italy, from June 3–9, 2025, promoting intercultural dialogue, freedom of expression, and youth empowerment through creative tools like podcasting, social theatre, and street art.
The management of Partners for Sustainable Development Foundation participated in the training course "The Five-Step Methodology for Effective Strategies", organized as part of the New Tactics in Human Rights Program, in collaboration with the French Embassy and under the supervision of the Center for Torture Victims.
As part of our ongoing efforts to build more sustainable communities, Partners for Sustainable Development Foundation continues to work on empowering youth and enhancing their role in peacebuilding processes. In collaboration with Mercy Corps and the Jordanian Ministry of Youth, the foundation is implementing strategic plans to activate UN Security Council Resolution 2250, which focuses on engaging youth in building security and peace
We are proud of the participation of Partners for Sustainable Development volunteers in the opening training of the "Hudour" project in Jafr, implemented by Generations for Peace and funded by the European Union. The volunteers actively participated, reflecting the institution's commitment to supporting youth and development initiatives for sustainable development
